Thank you for interest in Coastal Carolina Hospital. I am very grateful for the opportunity to serve as the CEO of Coastal Carolina Hospital. Our hospital recently celebrated its six-year anniversary and in terms of hospital ages we are in our infancy. We are poised to grow with the community and are proud to offer a range of comprehensive services that are convenient and close to home. We have made major progress over the past 12 months including becoming a Joint Commission Certified Primary Stroke Center and opening a primary care clinic on our campus.
Before coming to Coastal Carolina Hospital, I worked at a hospital that was over 100 years old. It had a long history of service, healing and improving the quality of life for its community. The rich tradition of service set an expectation to meet the levels of dedication and sacrifice of those that worked before me. At Coastal Carolina Hospital we have a unique opportunity to write a rich history of service for our successors to follow.
This is not a history we want to write alone. We are a young hospital and need an active and engaged community to provide us with the course corrections that will help us meet the healthcare needs of a growing community. During the past year, I have received valuable and constructive advice from many sources and feel grateful for the advocates of Coastal Carolina Hospital.
