The Clinical Laboratory and Pathology Departments at Coastal Carolina Hospital provide inpatient and outpatient diagnostic tests to aid your physician. Our staff consists of medical technologists and phlebotomists.
Our two board-certified Pathologists oversee the acquisition and analysis of patient specimens in a tightly controlled professional environment. Our results are reported to the clinician through a sophisticated information system.
The Clinical Laboratory is accredited by the College of American Pathologists (CAP).
Hours of Operation
Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
Patients are asked to report to registration before presenting to the Laboratory.

· Specimen Testing
If your tests required you to be fasting, you should be fasting at the minimum from midnight of the night before. Some tests require longer fasting hours. Please consult with your physician. If you are diabetic, you should take your medication as scheduled.
